Château Maïme: A Trusted Name in Côtes de Provence
In the heart of Provence, at the foot of the Maures Massif, Château Maïme stands out as a key reference in the Côtes de Provence appellation. Spread across 40 hectares, this family-owned estate produces exceptional wines in all three colors, with a strong Provençal identity. The name “Maïme,” which means “Maxime” in Provençal, pays tribute to a medieval chapel dedicated to Saint Maxime that still stands on the estate.
A Dedicated and Passionate Family Estate
For over 20 years, the Sibran-Garcia family has shaped this vineyard with passion. Jean-Louis Sibran, a trained oenologist, oversees vineyard operations, while Brice Garcia, a communication expert, has built a strong visual identity for the brand. Together, they have turned Château Maïme into a symbol of winemaking excellence in Provence.
Sustainable Viticulture, Respecting the Terroir
Château Maïme practices sustainable agriculture, with nighttime harvesting to preserve the grapes’ aromatic freshness. Each plot is carefully tended, with grape varieties chosen to match the characteristics of the soils (mica schist, sandstone, sand). Soil management, biodiversity protection, and guidance from oenologist Jérôme Paquette result in harmonious blends recognized by the wine press.
Distinctive and Acclaimed Wines
The estate’s wines are offered in two main collections: Origine and Héritage, both true reflections of the Provençal terroir. The rosé, the estate’s flagship wine, quickly gained popularity in Parisian and Côte d’Azur restaurants as early as 1998. Elegant, structured, and expressive, Château Maïme’s wines are recognized annually in competitions and leading wine guides, including those reviewed by Robert Parker.
A Legacy of Nature, History, and Modernity
The vineyard is located near the Argens River and the ancient Via Aurelia, a historic site where Roman legionnaires cultivated vines two millennia ago. Today, this terroir, rich in archaeological heritage, is enhanced by modern viticulture rooted in local tradition.
