Château Les Valentines: a story of family, terroir and passion in Provence

Château Les Valentines was born from a family story deeply rooted in its terroir. Vines have existed here since the early 1900s, but it was in 1997 that the Pons-Massenot family decided to take control of their destiny, leaving the local cooperative cellar to create their own estate. The name Les Valentines is a tender tribute to the children of the family, Valentin and Clémentine, symbols of transmission and the future.

In just over 20 years, the estate has established itself as a reference in Mediterranean Provence, driven by a passionate team convinced that Provence is not only the land of rosé wines, but a great wine region in its own right.

A powerful and distinctive Mediterranean terroir

Set in the heart of a landscape of garrigue and pine forests, the vineyard of Château Les Valentines benefits from an exceptional natural environment. The terroir leaves a clear imprint on every wine, with typically Provençal aromatic expressions: fennel, aniseed, dried herbs, strawberry tree berries, as well as citrus and exotic fruits depending on the vintage.

The estate cultivates nine grape varieties: Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Mourvèdre, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan, Rolle, Clairette and Ugni Blanc, offering great freedom of blending and a rare richness of expression.

Production is currently divided into approximately 75% rosé wines, 15% red wines and 10% white wines, with a constant focus on consistency, balance and finesse. Today, the wines of Château Les Valentines are distributed in more than 40 countries.

Château Les Valentines crafts five major rosé cuvées, each expressing a different facet of the terroir.

Château Les Valentines Rosé: The estate’s emblematic rosé, certified organic by Ecocert, combining spice, minerality and freshness.

Le Grand Huit Rosé – La Londe terroir designation: A gastronomic rosé, powerful, structured and mineral, perfectly suited for the table.

Le Caprice de Clémentine Rosé: A fruity and generous rosé, full of charm and easy enjoyment.

L’Effronté.e: A thirst-quenching rosé, fresh, light and spontaneous, ideal for simple moments.

Miss Valentine: An elegant rosé, instantly recognisable by its iconic bottle, delicate and airy in style.

White wines: freshness, elegance and gastronomy

he estate produces three white wine cuvées, each with a strong personality.

Château Les Valentines Blanc – La Londe terroir: A blend of century-old Ugni Blanc vines, Rolle and Clairette. A refined and structured white combining minerality with aromas of citrus, lychee and ginger.

Le Grand Huit Blanc – La Londe terroir A gastronomic white wine marked by roundness and delicacy, often compared to a “little Burgundy in Provence.”

Le Caprice de Clémentine Blanc: A pleasure-driven white, aromatic and fruity, perfect as an aperitif, with notes of lemon zest and fresh fruit.

Red wines: a Provence with character

Château Les Valentines has always embraced a strong ambition for great Provençal red wines. The diversity of grape varieties and the power of the terroir give rise to complex, spicy and structured wines.

BULLES by Les Valentines: a unique Provençal sparkling wine

BULLES by Les Valentines is a sparkling wine produced using an original Provençal method. The finest Cinsault and Rolle grapes are blended and bottled in Champagne-style bottles, without any external additives.

On tasting, the wine reveals the full identity of the estate’s rosés: citrus fruits, small red berries, aniseed and garrigue, enhanced by a fine, fresh and delicate effervescence. A festive wine with a resolutely Mediterranean character.
