23 hectares of reference terroir in the Graves
Located in the most northerly part of the Graves, in the renowned sector of Saint-Selve, the vineyard of Château Le Bonnat stretches over 23 hectares of clayey gravel resting on a limestone base. A classic, noble terroir, historically recognised for the elegance and balance of its wines.
The vines, on average around thirty years old, are naturally predisposed to low yields, sought here not by constraint, but by conviction. This control makes it possible to obtain concentrated, precise and perfectly balanced grapes.
Bordeaux grape mix, a pure reading of the terroir
The red wines rest on a blend dominated by Merlot (11 ha) and Cabernet Sauvignon (9 ha), completed by a plot of Cabernet Franc, bringing freshness and aromatic finesse.
The white wines, produced in confidential quantities, come from Semillon (2 ha) and Sauvignon blanc (1 ha). They offer a taut, elegant and subtle expression of the white Graves, far from any excessive demonstration.
