Located at the crossroads of two emblematic winegrowing departments, the Gironde and the Charente-Maritime, Château La Martellerie embodies the spirit of the great Bordeaux growths in a natural, family setting. Just 20 km north of the Blaye Citadel, a UNESCO World Heritage site, the estate spans 23 hectares of vines, farmed with passion by the Lardiere family.

The vines are planted on clay-gravel slopes, favouring natural drainage and a fine aromatic concentration in the grapes. Since October 2020, Mael Lardiere has joined his mother Veronique to write a new chapter of the family history: together, they bring a modern, open dynamic while preserving the estate's founding values, high standards, authenticity and transmission.

A committed, organic-certified viticulture
Château La Martellerie has chosen a responsible viticulture, combining respect for the terroir and reasoned innovation. The estate is now HVE-certified level 4 (High Environmental Value) and no longer uses any herbicide. Organic certification was obtained at the 2024 harvest, marking a new step in the family's ecological commitment. Natural grass cover between the rows and mechanical weeding reflect a sustainable, environmentally respectful approach.
Controlled winemaking, from vine to bottle
