Château La Favière

On the banks of the Dordogne, in Saint-Seurin-sur-l'Isle, just at the gates of Saint-Emilion, Château La Favière cultivates a rare terroir where the vine expresses itself with precision and intensity. Here, the Stanzinger family signs balanced wines, nourished by a rich soil, an exceptional microclimate and a philosophy turned towards nature.
A privileged terroir on the edge of Saint-Émilion
The vineyard sits on a mosaic of soils typical of the Libournais: gravel, filtering sands and deep clays. The rows oriented East/West capture the morning and evening light, offering a regular, complete ripening. The emblematic grapes express themselves fully: Merlot (60%) for flesh and roundness, Cabernet Franc (30%) for floral elegance and Cabernet Sauvignon (10%) for structure and length.
Some vines planted in 1958 continue to bring a unique aromatic depth. The vineyard's average, around 1988, guarantees a balance between vigour and maturity.

A beneficial climate: the natural balance of the Libournais
Cradled by the oceanic influence and protected by the Saint-Emilion microclimate, the vine enjoys mild winters, dry but temperate summers, and a perfectly regulated water supply. This natural context creates ideal conditions to produce wines combining power, elegance and freshness. The vine is grown according to the principles of reasoned viticulture: limited interventions, fertilisation adapted parcel by parcel, constant observation of the plant.
A family from elsewhere to fulfil a dream
In 2010, Stan and Natalia left Saint Petersburg to settle in Bordeaux, guided by a simple but immense dream: to become winegrowers. With no initial training, Stan learned everything through practice: pruning, soil work, vinification, ageing. Fourteen harvests later, his know-how bears the mark of experience, perseverance and love of wine. The estate then entered a new momentum and evolved naturally into STANZINGER Wines, a modern, sincere identity turned towards the future.
Organic as an obvious choice
Since 2023, the estate has been certified Organic Agriculture, a logical step in its approach. More than a certification, it is a philosophy: living, grassed soils, treatments limited to the strict minimum, an eco-responsible approach in the cellar, respect for the vine's natural cycle and precise, patient work, never rushed. Each bottle thus becomes the reflection of an authentic terroir and an assumed ethic.
