Château La Botte
An 18 ha family estate in Campugnan, in Blaye-Côtes de Bordeaux (Haute Gironde). The first Haute Gironde estate certified HVE; reds, whites, roses, cremants and Fine Bordeaux.
Set in Campugnan, at the place called La Botte, about fifteen kilometres north-east of Blaye, Château La Botte extends over 18 hectares of Quaternary clay-limestone hillsides, ideally oriented north-south. This family vineyard is recognised as the first wine estate in Haute Gironde to obtain HVE certification (High Environmental Value), a mark of its commitment to responsible viticulture.
Thanks to an ideal exposure and a living soil, the vines enjoy generous sunshine. For several generations, the Blanchard family has farmed its vines with passion, combining local winegrowing traditions with the most relevant oenological advances, for sincere, expressive wines that are both typical and singular.

This rigorous work makes it possible to produce sincere, expressive wines that are both typical and singular.
Wines of character: reds, whites, roses and sparkling
From the red for keeping to the Fine Bordeaux, the estate offers a full range that expresses all the terroir of Blaye-Côtes de Bordeaux. Every wine conveys the same standard, from the vine to the cellar.
The reds: Réserve, Prestige and « 1873 »
Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux red - Merlot 75%, Cabernet Sauvignon 15%, Cabernet Franc 10%
Three of the estate's reds, from the Rouge Prestige to the Rouge Reserve, up to the prestige cuvee Château La Botte « 1873 ». A merlot-dominated blend, long vatting (20 days) and 12 months of ageing in vat or barrel: roundness, ripe fruits and a harmonious structure.
The whites Cuvée Abigaël & Tradition, and the rosé
Bordeaux - dry white (Sauvignon 75%, Sémillon 25%) & rosé
The Blanc « Cuvee Abigael » and the Blanc Tradition, mainly Sauvignon and Semillon, aged on fine lees for 3 months: liveliness, finesse and aromatic brightness. Alongside them, a fruity Bordeaux rosé obtained by direct pressing.

Vineyard management that respects the environment
The estate uses natural grass cover every other row, combined with double-guyot pruning, leaf removal and green harvesting to ensure a perfect vegetative balance. This approach is fully part of the HVE philosophy, encouraging biodiversity and the sustainability of the soils.
A living place of memory: Le Musee
In the tasting room, affectionately called Le Musee, visitors can discover a collection of old objects linked to viticulture, cooperage and the wine trades. Precious witnesses of the past, these pieces tell the story of the estate and pay tribute to several generations of winegrowers.
