A gravel terroir ideally located in the Médoc
The vineyard covers 18 hectares, on the gravel hills overlooking the Gironde. These gravel-sandy soils, typical of the Medoc, ensure optimal natural drainage and favour deep rooting of the vine. This geological context, together with a temperate oceanic climate, creates ideal conditions for a slow, balanced ripening of the grapes. The mild winters, the regular rains in spring and autumn, and the bright summers make it possible to obtain concentrated, aromatic and perfectly ripe grapes, vintage after vintage.
Sustainable, certified and committed viticulture
At Château Fleur La Mothe, the quality of the wine begins in the vineyard. The estate is certified HVE level 3 and Terra Vitis, two labels that attest to a demanding and coherent environmental approach. The cultural practices favour respect for natural balances, the preservation of soils and biodiversity, and reasoned intervention adapted to each parcel. This sustainable approach allows the vine to fully express its terroir, while placing the estate within a responsible vision turned towards the future.
