Château de Tracy: A Rich Heritage and Timeless Elegance

A manuscript from 1396, preserved in the estate's archives, attests to the purchase of the "Champs de Cris" land, which is still planted with vines today and is part of Domaine du Château de Tracy. In 1586, François Stutt married Françoise de Bar, who brought the Tracy family seat as her dowry. This union of the Comte d'Assay’s descendants and François Stutt's lineage brought together two branches of one family that had been separated for more than four centuries, shaping the legacy of the Château de Tracy.

The Estate Today

Perched on a rocky outcrop overlooking the Loire River, Château de Tracy stands proudly in the commune that bears its name. The estate is a remarkable blend of history and elegance, with a beautiful Renaissance gate gracing its façade and showcasing its sober yet refined architectural style. The imposing Medieval keep rises above the high slate towers, adding to the estate's timeless charm.
