Located in Haut-Var, in the heart of Provence’s hinterland, Château de Berne is an iconic wine estate spanning 175 hectares of vineyards. Nestled in a preserved environment, it benefits from an exceptional geological diversity, allowing the creation of wines with great aromatic complexity. Renowned for its fresh and delicate rosé wines produced through direct pressing, Provence is also home to structured red wines and elegant whites. Château de Berne highlights this richness by producing exceptional gastronomic wines from carefully selected grape varieties. Since February 2021, the entire vineyard has been certified organic, reflecting the estate’s commitment to preserving nature and local winemaking traditions.

A Unique Terroir Combining Altitude and Soil Diversity

The Triassic plateau, dominating the estate at 300 meters above sea level, rests on a Middle Jurassic limestone base. This natural elevation enables slow grape maturation, with cool nights enhancing the finesse and aromatic freshness of the wines.

The Château de Berne terroir consists of two main soil types:

- 80% of the vineyard is planted on a limestone plateau, offering excellent drainage and marked minerality. This soil gives the wines tension and a beautiful salinity.

- 20% of the vines are located around the château on lighter, sandy soils, adding roundness and richness to the blends.

Thanks to this geological diversity, each cuvée fully expresses its identity with unique aromatic profiles.
