Tradition and Renewal at Château de Beaumel
Located in the heart of the Var, Château de Beaumel is the heir to a century-old viticultural tradition. Since 2015, the Caille family has taken the reins of the estate, assembling a passionate team led by Nicolas Turounet, an expert enologist. Since 2021, the estate has been transitioning to organic farming, crafting award-winning wines. This success and commitment reflect the richness of its terroir and the family’s ability to combine heritage with modernity.
Exceptional Terroir and Strong Environmental Commitment
The soil, composed of sand and red clay, bordered by rocky outcrops, imparts a uniquely rich and aromatic character to the Provençal grape varieties. Dedicated to preserving the Plaine des Maures, Château de Beaumel practices sustainable viticulture, ensuring the pure expression of its terroir in every bottle. The 17th-century bastide houses the estate's emblem: a handshake engraved on a stone stele, symbolizing loyalty during the Roman Empire. The estate’s 25-year-old vines, covering nearly 30 hectares, represent a leading viticultural heritage in the region.
