Its name comes from the Gascon word calhau, meaning “pebble” — a nod to the mineral richness of its soils. A New Generation Committed to the Land

Since August 2020, Château Caillivet has entered a new chapter under the direction of Guilain Latournerie, a passionate young agronomist. His vision: to make the estate a model of agroecology and sustainable viticulture. Currently converting to organic farming, the vineyard follows a holistic approach where biodiversity, living soils, and respect for nature guide every decision. This ecological philosophy gives birth to sincere wines, faithful to their terroir and the spirit of the place.
