A unique vineyard that dominates Fronton
With its 112 hectares in a single block, Château Bellevue La Forêt is one of the largest private estates in the region. Planted at 200 metres altitude, the vineyard unfolds on clay-limestone rises from the Garonne and the former royal forest of Fronton. This gently rolling landscape, crossed by the winds, gives the grapes a regular ripeness and a natural freshness. The estate rests on an old vineyard known since the 12th century: a long winegrowing memory, combined with a generous terroir, that today allows a wide range of ageing reds, radiant rosés and rare whites.
Négrette, the soul of Fronton
Negrette holds a central place at the estate: 57 hectares devoted to this confidential grape found almost only on the Fronton appellation. It is said to have travelled from Cyprus nearly two millennia ago before finding refuge here. Today, it is Negrette that gives the wines that floral, velvety touch so distinctive, between violet, black fruits and sweet spices.

Around Negrette (57 ha), the estate's signature, the vineyard gathers Syrah (16 ha), Cabernet Sauvignon (12 ha), Gamay (7 ha) and Cabernet Franc (6 ha), plus a few hectares of white varieties such as Viognier, Roussanne and Petit Manseng. This diversity creates an ample, lively aromatic palette, that feeds the creation of very different cuvees while preserving the estate's identity. Since 2008, Philip Grant, a passionate figure who came from finance, has led Bellevue La Forêt with a stated goal: to perpetuate a tradition of excellence by working each plot with precision and respect. The wines travel today to around twenty countries.
