In the luminous calm of the Sezannais, the Launay estate has cultivated since 1973 an art of champagne built on family, precision and respect for nature. Three united brothers, three complementary personalities, and one shared vision: to craft sincere, elegant champagnes faithful to their terroir. To celebrate their know-how, the family created the Louis de Chatet brand, a range of exceptional champagnes where each cuvee expresses a style, an emotion and its own personality.
A vineyard between the Marne and the Côte des Bar
The vineyard extends over 14 hectares, two-thirds in the Marne and one-third in the Côte des Bar. These two zones offer very different profiles: in the Marne, chalkier soils that carry finesse and tension; in the Côte des Bar, more clay-limestone terroirs that give roundness and depth. This complementarity allows the Launay family to create balanced, expressive champagnes, able to seduce both amateurs and the most demanding palates.
The heritage of a family house: quality over quantity
For more than fifty years, the Launay family has made it a point of honour to produce champagnes respectful of their environment and their history. The harvests are exclusively manual, the vinification strictly respects the traditional Champagne method, and the ageing takes place in the calm of the cellar. The estate is committed to its land: no chemical fertilisers, plant-protection products chosen with care, and the certifications Sustainable Viticulture and HVE Level 3.
