Champagne Gardet: A Family Story Since 1895

Founded in 1895 by Charles Gardet in Épernay, the Champagne House Gardet was built on strong values: authenticity, dedication, and passion. In the 1930s, his son Georges settled in Chigny-les-Roses, a village classified as Premier Cru, and carried on the family legacy. Today, the House belongs to the Prieux family, deeply rooted in the Champagne region and committed to this pursuit of excellence.

Heritage and Modern Vision

Led by Christophe Prieux and Olivier Legendre, Champagne Gardet combines traditional savoir-faire with technological innovation. The Gardet style is based on a subtle balance: artisanal vinification, oak cask aging, careful fermentation management, while integrating modern tools to ensure the consistency and finesse of its cuvées.

Elegant and Distinctive Cuvées

The House’s range reflects its identity:

  • Collection Tradition: the essence of the Gardet style, a blend of balance and timeless elegance.
  • Collection Extra Brut: vibrant champagnes, expressing freshness and purity.
  • Collection Prestige: rare and refined cuvées, crafted through long aging.
  • Prestige Charles Gardet Blanc de Blancs: a tribute to the founder, symbolizing purity and minerality.
  • Rosé de Saignée Charles Gardet: a champagne of delicate, velvety charm, inspired by the rose, emblem of Chigny-les-Roses.
  • Secret Collection: confidential bottles, aged for decades in the wine library before being unveiled.

Each cuvée expresses the Gardet signature: a blend of tradition, modernity, and refinement.

An Exceptional Vineyard

At the heart of the Montagne de Reims, the House cultivates its own 5-hectare vineyard and relies on a hundred hectares from trusted partners. Pinot Noir, Meunier, and Chardonnay flourish on the terroirs of Chigny-les-Roses, Ludes, Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, and the Côte des Bar, offering a rich and nuanced aromatic palette.

A House Committed to the Environment

Champagne Gardet has made sustainable viticulture a priority. The House is HVE (High Environmental Value) certified, produces cuvées from organic farming, and continuously reduces its ecological footprint with the EnVol label. The use of recyclable packaging and care for biodiversity illustrate this commitment to preserving the Champagne terroir.

The French Art of Living

Champagne Gardet embodies French elegance and shares its savoir-faire around the world: exports to Europe, Japan, the United States, Australia, and beyond. The House also develops wine tourism in Chigny-les-Roses with the Gardet Experience: traditional cellar tours, tastings, and immersion in the House’s universe.

Champagne Gardet is the alliance of a century-old heritage and a forward-looking vision, producing champagnes that are refined, distinctive, and respectful of their terroir.
