Carol Duval-Leroy, “Woman of Champagne”
A symbolic figure, Carol Duval-Leroy left her mark on the history of the House and Champagne as a whole. The first woman to chair the Association Viticole Champenoise, she elevated Duval-Leroy among the most prestigious houses. The Femme de Champagne Grand Cru cuvée pays tribute to her vision and audacity, embodying elegance, finesse, and aromatic power.
The New Generation: Julien, Charles, and Louis
Today, the legacy continues with Carol’s three sons – Julien, Charles, and Louis – who uphold the spirit of the House and carry its style into the future.
Julien, guardian of the terroir, oversees the 200 hectares of vines, 40% of which are classified as Premiers and Grands Crus. Through a precise parcel-based approach and micro-vinifications, he highlights the diversity of the Côte des Blancs soils.
Charles, master of the creative tools, showcases a state-of-the-art winery. This “haute couture” vinification allows small-batch production and the crafting of champagnes with exceptional precision.
Louis, ambassador of the House, shares Duval-Leroy’s passion at the world’s finest Michelin-starred tables. He embodies the art of transmission, engaging directly with sommeliers, wine merchants, and chefs to reveal the soul of the cuvées.

A pioneer in sustainable viticulture, Champagne Duval-Leroy has obtained High Environmental Value (HVE level 3) certification as well as the Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne designation. The House emphasizes soil care, drastically limits inputs, and applies measured dosage to preserve the purity and elegance of its champagnes.

Under the guidance of Sandrine Logette-Jardin, a visionary cellar master, Duval-Leroy operates a modern, parcel-based winemaking facility designed to extract the quintessence of each grape variety. The wines are then aged for many years in chalk cellars and oak barrels, gaining incomparable depth and aromatic complexity.
