Maison André Tixier & Fils, transmission and terroir in the heart of the Montagne de Reims
Champagne André Tixier & Fils
A family-owned, independent house in Chigny-les-Roses (51500), a village classified Premier Cru of the Montagne de Reims. Since 1926, four generations of winegrowers; the three Champagne varieties, manual harvesting and long ageing on the lees. An artisanal champagne, sincere and faithful to its terroir.
Since 1926, the Tixier family has written its history in Chigny-les-Roses, a village classified Premier Cru in the heart of the Montagne de Reims. Here, champagne is not a fashion product: it is a living heritage, shaped by nearly a century of repeated gestures, passed down and refined from generation to generation. A discreet, deeply winegrowing place, where the vine structures the landscape as much as the life of the people.
A family house, four generations of winegrowers
It all begins with André Tixier, the family's first winemaker, who made his first bottles between the wars. After the Second World War, his son Robert took up the torch, before passing it on to Patrice in the 1980s. In 2007, Julien Tixier joined the estate after his wine studies; now at the head of the house, he embodies this rare continuity: respect for the past, technical mastery and a contemporary vision of champagne. This transgenerational memory evolves and adapts, but never gives up the essential: to make precise wines, faithful to their origin.
Chigny-les-Roses, a Premier Cru on a human scale
Located on the Reims-Epernay axis, Chigny-les-Roses is one of those Champagne villages where the terroir speaks with clarity. Clay-limestone soils, gentle slopes, balanced exposures: the conditions are ideal for revealing the finesse of the three Champagne varieties, which the house strives to preserve without artifice.

An artisanal, sincere champagne without make-up
The house's philosophy is clear: let the wine speak before the discourse. No flashy luxury, no marketing recipes. The work begins in the vines, continues in the cellar, and ends when the wine is ready, not before. Manual harvesting plot by plot, reasoned viticulture with growing attention to soil life, precise winemaking combining tradition and technical mastery, and long ageing on the lees to refine the texture and the finesse of the bubbles. Faced with climate challenges, the house adjusts its practices and reduces inputs, without ever denying its identity. Here, we do not seek rupture, but precision over time.
Cuvees designed for pleasure and the table
The André Tixier & Fils champagnes stand out for their coherence and their balance. Champagnes for sharing, designed to accompany a moment rather than to impress. To discover direct.
Brut Traditionnel
Brut - blend of the three varieties (Pinot Noir led)

Brut - 100% Chardonnay

Rosé Brut
Brut - rosé, structure and gourmandise
A more confidential cuvee, combining structure and gourmandise. Perfect for bold food-and-wine pairings, it plays the card of fruit and balance.
An artisanal champagne, on the lees
Manual harvest - long ageing
