A Champagne Heritage Forged Over Three Generations. Perched on the sunlit slopes of the Grand Porteron, Maison BEDEL has been crafting authentic and natural champagnes for three generations. Each bunch is carefully hand-picked and gently pressed in a traditional press, where precision and respect for the fruit guide every motion. Every stage—from vinification to bottling—is carried out on the estate, ensuring champagnes of rare purity, both expressive and sincere.

A Family Story Rooted in Champagne’s Soil

The BEDEL lineage traces back to Porteron in the 16th century, when the family lived off the land. Planting vines on the sun-facing slopes began as an experiment, later becoming a passion. In 1954, Lucien BEDEL produced the first handcrafted bottles, and his son Alain BEDEL expanded the estate to 8 hectares, cultivating the three noble Champagne grapes: Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Chardonnay. Their south-facing exposure and precise winemaking create balanced, authentic champagnes that capture the soul of their terroir.

Signature Cuvées – Expressions of Terroir and Craft

Tradition Brut : A perfect harmony of freshness and fruit. A blend of 85% Pinot Meunier, 10% Pinot Noir, and 5% Chardonnay. Vibrant and refined, with length and precision.

Tradition Demi-Sec : A softer, more tender champagne with a subtle sweetness—ideal for desserts and gourmet endings.

Brut Nature : Zero dosage, pure and powerful. A champagne for purists, unveiling the unmasked essence of the vineyard. Perfect for the aperitif.

Sélection Brut : Blended from reserve vintages, this cuvée offers remarkable aromatic complexity and depth. Generous and structured, it’s a champagne for connoisseurs.

Rosé Brut : Made entirely from Pinot Meunier, this rosé displays a delicate salmon hue and aromas of fresh red berries. Elegant, joyful, and perfect for festive or sweet-and-savory pairings.

Blanc de Blancs Brut Millésimé : 100% Chardonnay. Refined, fresh, and mineral, this vintage cuvée captures the luminous elegance of the Côte des Blancs style.

Vieilles Vignes Brut Millésimé  : A rare, limited-edition cuvée crafted from old vines. Profound, complex, and timeless—an emblem of heritage and mastery, ideal for life’s great occasions.
