AOC Reuilly: a hidden gem

The AOC Reuilly appellation, though less well-known both in France and abroad, is distinguished by its size. Located in the Loire Valley, it spans a modest area of about ten kilometers and benefits from a clay-limestone terroir, with sand and silt that are ideal for vine cultivation. Featuring agricultural slopes, it enjoys sunny hillside exposures and the influence of the Arnon and La Théols rivers. Despite its small size, this unique terroir located southwest of Bourges produces exceptional wines.

Sauvignon Blanc finds a particularly favorable environment here, expressing its character in an unparalleled manner. For red and rosé wines, Pinot Noir thrives in Reuilly, offering reds full of flavor and fruit, as well as colorful and fruity rosés. The AOC Reuilly was established in 1937 for white wines and in 1961 for rosé and red wines.
