In the center-east of France, Burgundy is one of the oldest French wine regions, known for its very great vintages. It includes the AOC Monthélie 1er Cru.The appellation area of ​​this AOC extends between the Côte de Beaune and the Hautes Côtes over approximately 130 hectares of soils composed mainly of marl and red earth. Pinot noir and chardonnay vines are planted on this appellation, which produces white and red wines (15 of which are classified as Premier Cru).
