AOC Languedoc-Montpeyroux

In the south of France, the very sunny vineyard of Languedoc-Roussillon extends over more than 240,000 hectares from Nîmes to Leucate (Aude), making it one of the largest vineyards in the world. It includes the AOC Languedoc - Montpeyroux.

The appellation area of ​​this AOC extends 40km from Montpellier in the heart of the Terrasses du Larzac on the territory of the commune of Montpeyroux on some 900 hectares of soils composed of gravel, limestone, clay and volcanic rocks. Grenache, Mourvèdre, Carignan, Cinsault and Syrah vines, subject to the Mediterranean climate of this geographical area, are planted in this appellation and produce red wines. These are ample, powerful wines, with good aging potential and which express spicy notes.
