Burgundy, in central-eastern France, is one of France's oldest wine-growing regions, famous for its great vintages. The AOC Bourgogne clairet Côte d'Auxerre covers the commune of Auxerre and four other communes with clay-limestone soils. The AOC Bourgogne clairet Côte d'Auxerre produces dry rosé wines made mainly from pinot noir grapes in a temperate-oceanic, semi-continental climate.
