Librottiglia: bottle books for wine lovers
Discover "Librottiglia": Italian Book-Bottles Making Waves Since 2016
Librottiglia: An Italian Invention
Launched by the design agency Reverse Innovation in collaboration with Italian designer Matteo Corregia, the "Librottiglia" project, blending the Italian words "libro" (book) and "bottiglia" (bottle), offers a unique experience of reading and tasting. Each bottle features a small booklet bound with string, and the labels unfold into a few pages of a short story that you can enjoy while sipping on Italian wine from the Piedmont region.
3 Bottles, 3 Authors
The project includes contributions from three distinct Italian writers. In "L’Omicidio" ("The Murder"), journalist and satirist Daniel Zanilli presents a thrilling detective story that pairs with the fresh and invigorating white wine "Roero Arneis." Singer Patricia Liquidera offers a different genre with her whimsical fable "La Rana nella Pancia" ("The Frog in the Stomach"), matched with the sparkling red wine"Branchetto L’Anthos." Finally, the Nebbiolo Romero bottle, paired with the love story "Ti ami Dimenticami" ("Love Me. Forget Me") by cultural producer Regina Marques Nadaes, completes the collection.
Please note that the stories are available only in Italian, so you'll need to speak the language to fully enjoy this literary-wine experience (or perhaps this is a chance to learn?).

FAQ - Librottiglia
What is Librottiglia?
Librottiglia is an Italian book-bottle concept launched in November 2016. Each Piedmont wine bottle carries a booklet label bound with string that unfolds into a few pages of a short story you can read while tasting.
Who created the Librottiglia project?
The project was designed by the agency Reverse Innovation, in collaboration with Italian designer Matteo Corregia. Three Italian writers contributed, each pairing a short story with a specific wine.
Which wines go with the Librottiglia stories?
Three Piedmont wines are offered: the white Roero Arneis with a detective story, the sparkling Brachetto L'Anthos with a fable, and the Nebbiolo Romero with a love story.
Do you need to speak Italian to read the Librottiglia stories?
Yes. All three short stories are available only in their original language, Italian. It can be a nice reason to start learning while enjoying a glass of Piedmont wine.
Where do the Librottiglia wines come from?
The wines come from the Piedmont vineyards in north-west Italy. The region is known for the Nebbiolo, Brachetto and Roero Arneis grapes used for these book-bottles.
