A family estate since 1905 ; the ‘Domaine des Tilleuls’ is above all a family business and a location. The estate, jealously kept in the shadow of four lime trees of almost a hundred years old, is located in the very heart of the vines near Vallet, in the vineyard of Muscadet. The vineyard spreads over 35 hectares of vines on some of the most beautiful hillsides of the region on an outstanding terroir made of a loamy soil with silicium leaning on a micaschist source rock. The soils, naturally draining, are perfectly adapted to the culture of the vine and suitable for the production of late and structured wines ; the planting of which comprises 4 noble grape varieties : White Melon (Muscadet), Chardonnay, White sauvignon and Cabernet-Franc. Known for its wine expertise for 5 generations, ‘Domaine des Tilleuls’ elaborates wines from Loire in a delicate way, with freshness, an assertive minerality and a suprising cellaring potential. Commited in the Cru Vallet which registers in the communal vintages from Nantes, the ‘Domaine des Tilleuls ‘ has set its mind on elevating its next Muscadet to the status of great cellar wine and on revealing the quitessence of its amazing terroir. Supporter of a sustainable agriculture, the whole vineyard is certified HEV (High environmental value) indicating the commitment in the maintenance of a sustainable viticulture while helping protecting the environmental heritage for the future generations.
