Passionate about his art, Thierry LEBEGUE who serves directly on the field, has learnt to be multitasking. Active on every front, from the work of the grape variety to putting the product into bottle, let alone the vinification, he is the maker who particpates to the elegance of the San Gavino wines. « We work on grape varieties from Corse : Niellucciu, Vermentinu, Sciaccarellu, Carcajelo as well as the Syrah and Minustellu to make different types of productions : wines made of the three colors, young with a flexible structure which is perfect during the summer and special vintage the « Contrella » : a well-structures long-keeping wine, which ages in oak barrels for 18 months. This vintage also exists in White wine and Rosé. » Recently joined by his son, they elaborated a new vintage : Carta nera (Niellucciu, Syrah, Minustellu), staying in oak barrels and ‘terracotta’ jar : the three grape varieties give it a distinguished character, a strong texture which is appeased by the Syrah. Grown in jar, the wine keep a little spicy and fresh flavor with an ending that is all about delicacy. Well-balanced wines which reveal a philosophy dedicated to the expertise and tradition, which are for the most part locally spread accross a restaurateur and direct maketing (from the estate to the customer) network.
