It was my mother who passed on her passion for wine-making. The call of the vine ran through her veins, as it does mine. My profession is a vocation. I like the rigour and I cannot imagine doing anything other than seeking excellence in this area.
I have an intimate relationship with the vines, they have a hold over me that leads me to them each day. When I am with my vines, my heart is lifted. The vines speak to me. I take delight in these silent, intimate conversations.
I give them all my attention. I am attentive to the smallest shiver, almost imperceptible signs of the vines' impulsive mood.
I have an incurable love for my land, becoming involved in the throes of its vagaries, always wanting to satisfy it and to cultivate this reciprocal love.
This fascination continues to the ultimate moment of harvest, when with one last embrace, the vine offers its clear, fresh, delicate juice as the early promise of intense happiness.
In the intimacy of the cellar, it can express its best aromas and devote itself to the great day, when fame will arrive.
