This cuvée is made exclusively from Merlot Noir. It is matured for 14 months, with at least 8 months spent ageing in oak casks. Tasting Eye : A mahogany, intense rosé or red, coppery colour with brown hues.Nose : The Pineau des Charentes red is particularly light and elegant, characterised by very fruity notes such as raspberry or cherry. The Pineau des Charentes red isintense and generous, its bouquet is an explosion of freshly picked blck fruits such as blackcurrant, blackberry or Morello cherry, aromas enhanced by notes of spice, liquorice, cinnamon and vanilla.Palate : A supple attack, generosity and power, notes of red fruit, excellent aromatic persistence. Serve: The cold cuts through the aromatic intensity, and thus it is worth adjusting the serving temperature to suit the temperature at which Pineau des Charentes is served. As an aperitif, it should be served chilled at between 8 and 10°
