2016 - 75 cl

AOC Saint-émilion

Bordeaux

This Saint-Emilion was aged in oak barrels for 12 months to bring a superb roundness to the wine. A lovely garnet-red colour with a pleasant red and black fruit nose. The wine is full-bodied in the mouth with good power and great sweetness with an excellent long finish.

Château Bonneau – Gouze

33570 Montagne - Bordeaux

Château Bonneau has been in the Gouze family since 1922, but it was in 1958 that Marc Gouze went to live there with his wife. He has boosted the estate and also modernised it; he enlarged the surface area of the plots and planted an additional 5 ha of vines, making a total of 9 ha. In 1988, their son Thierry took over the family estate. At the same time, he also bought 3 hectares in St Emilion, which would be used to create Château Hyon la Fleur. In 2008, Thierry Gouze entrusted the management of the estate to Pierre Guepin who had much experience working in several famous Saint-Emilion Châteaux. The Gouze family has devoted themselves to respecting the environment and using sustainable and integrated vine growing methods. This keeps the vines balanced, creating a perfect equilibrium between the wine and the terroir. The family's goal is first of all to pick the grapes at the optimum time for ripening, then, when the fruit arrives in the winery, it is handled as little as possible.
