The Burgundy region is iconic. The vineyards of Burgundy extend over 50,100 hectares. The Burgundy region produces approximately 2,650,000 hectolitres. Burgundy cultivates four main grape varieties. : Two black, Pinot and Gamay, and two white, Chardonnay and Aligoté. Generic burgundy wines are produced in four departments : the Yonne, the Côte-d'Or, the Saône-et-Loire and the Rhône. The latter is not in Burgundy, but by decree it is possible to downgrade a Beaujolais into one of the regional bourguignon appellations.

    Noémie du Chanteloup

Founded in 1947 by Marcel-André Goichot, the reins of Maison Goichot have been held by his son, André-Marie Goichot, since 1987. Since the Goichot family has several vineyards, including one located in Côte de Beaune and the other in Côte Chalonnaise, it is possible for them to offer most Burgundy appellations.  Link to video presenting the family business: https://vimeo.com/154570650
