CHATEAU LA GRAVE

2014 - 75 cl

AOC Minervois

Languedoc-Roussillon

The harvest takes place very early in the morning. Destemming and skin maceration with temperature control. Draining in a pneumatic press. Fermentation of the must in new oak barrels, daily stirring, bottling, ageing in oak barrels. Tasting: This cuvéé reveals a bright colour with fine golden glints. Delicate dry-fruit flavours, honey, vanilla and brioche leave us dreaming... Aromas of toasted nuts, and toasted flavours sustained by an amplitude and concentration that make it an exceptional product! Refined wine. Food and wine pairing: This wine will go perfectly with a scallop gratin, white meat in sauce, and cheese (particularly Roquefort).

CHATEAU LA GRAVE

11800 Badens - Languedoc-Roussillon

Heritage of the Priory of Milhegrand, fiefdom of the Abbey of Lagrasse in the 12th century, the estate then became a smallholding, maintained by a long line of vine-growers. Jean-Pierre and Josiane Orosquette, themselves from families dedicated to vines, have perpetuated this long line. Their son, Jean-François Orosquette, now the wine-maker, heads the team. Good wine always needs hard work and careful attention is given constantly to the vines. Thierry Bergé, their son-in-law manages the growing of the vines. And Jean-Pierre and Josiane Orosquette are still working on the estate, where, to the rhythm of life, they still oversee the functioning of the vineyard and pass on their expertise to the youngest team members.
