Château De Castres, Graves Rouge 2014. A family property just 15 minutes from the centre of Bordeaux.  Oenologist's tasting notes: a deep ruby red colour, aromas of red fruits such as blackcurrant and blackberry. The palate is ample and long. Ideal with meats, roast poultry and cheeses.   Blend : 48% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot.Cellaring time :  20 years. Avenue des vins' notes : Its complex bouquet brings together red and black berries and spices (vanilla, cinammon). Powerful, full-bodied and endowed with great potential, the palate seduces with silky tannins and its mild tobacco and liquorice finish.

CHATEAU DE CASTRES

33640 Castres-Gironde - Bordeaux

Château de Castres, in Castres, in the Gironde, has a very beautiful house (an 18th century Charterhouse), on a 21 ha estate. Already a large property in 1850, with 32 ha worked around the house, these were some of the very first plots planted in the Graves region: there are traces of them from 1580 onwards. The beautiful house is complemented by wonderful deep gravel soil, with a lovely gravel body to it. Our objective: to restore splendour to this property, create a great, high-quality wine and become a reference in Graves, bringing immense pleasure to consumers.
