71570 ROMANECHE THORINS - Beaujolais

The Sambin family is based in Romanèche-Thorins, a very old small estate of 8 ha, which has been in the same family for 12 generations. A hamlet of Romanèche-Thorins: "La Sambinerie" attests to the important presence of this family in this vine-growing area. The name Sambin has, in his roots, links to vines, since it is said that the name comes from the Latin "Semper bibere", which means, "Drink always!". ». The vines, mostly over 50 years old, result in a magnificent wine with a deep ruby colour, with subtle scents of very pure violet and rose. Our wines marry well with all good traditional dishes. We are a small 8-hectare family vine-growing estate, 15km south of Macon (France) and we produce a real "terroir" wine, in the Crus "Moulin-à-Vent" and "Fleurie" with:- Gamay vines with plant cover, grown using sustainable and integrated vine growing methods.- Manual harvest followed by selective sorting.- Traditional artisanal vinifications by vat, of 2 weeks on average and a 10-month ageing in the cellar.- Granite soil with the presence of manganese, which allows us to enhance the specific characteristics of the terroir, and helps ageing.
