Formerly a stage coach stop on the road to Spain, this estate was acquired by the Abelanet family in 1697. Currently, the estate is made up of 20 hectares of the following vines: AOC Fitou, Muscat de Rivesaltes, Vin de Pays Marsane and rosé table wine. The wine has been bottled on the estate for more than 35 years. Over 14 generations, various medals awarded are the proof of the quality of the wines. It was, furthermore, partly through their recognition that the wine-growing family managing the estate in 1948, managed to obtain approval from the village of Fitou to use the name for the appellation.
