AOC Côtes du Rhône

Rhône Valley

Roussane 40% Clairette 40% Viognier 20%. Tasting notes : Brilliant clear colour with yellow glints and slightly green hues. A fine, elegant and complex nose with notes of white flesh fruit (peach, pear). A touch of minerality. On the palate, a full and well-balanced wine: Sweetness in the attack, richness and a wonderful finish marked by freshness and a mineral touch. The notes of fruit combine with amylic and lemony aromas.

DOMAINE CLOS ROMANE

84290 Cairanne - Rhône Valley

It is in the centre of the village of Cairanne, in the heart of Provence, that four generations of passionate entrepreneurs have taken over the family business. In love with the land and wine, Nadine and Stéphane created the winery and made their first vintage in 2011. The 30-ha vineyard, located on clay-limestone soil, extends over the Aygues terraces right up to the mountains, which dominate the Rhône plain. The vines, more than 50 years old, are grown using organic fertilisers, short pruning and controlled treatments in order to respect the soil. Harvested exclusively by hand, the crop is sorted once by the cutters, then a second time in the winery on a sorting table. Vinification is carried out in thermo-regulated concrete vats using traditional methods. Vatting varies from 20 to 30 days, and is punctuated by daily delestages and pumping over. Ageing takes place over 12 to 18 months in 600-litre oak barrels. Bottling of the wines is done without fining or filteration. It is with real pleasure that Nadine and Stéphane share their vintages with you, to experience the Provençal way of life!
