Exceptional wines combining finesse, character and originality, the heirs of 3 centuries of expertise at the Château de Berne.Blend : 50% Sémillon, 50% Rolle (Vermentino) Tasting : An intense and luminous deep yellow colour, great complexity on the nose with a touch of exotic fruit (lychee, mango, passion fruit), grilled notes (brioche), fresh almond paste, dried apricot. A charming, velvety and delicious attack, that fills the mouth and flatters the palate, with candied exotic fruits (even ginger), a long, smooth finish with very fresh and slightly chlorophyll buttery notes, superb vinification. Food and wine pairing : To be enjoyed with foie gras terrine, fresh foie gras with peaches, turbot mousseline, poultry with morels, parmesan.

CHATEAU DE BERNE

83340 Le Cannet-des-Maures - Provence

The Château de Berne estate is located in the Haut Var, with a continental climate characterised by cool nights. These ensure a long, optimal ripening of the grapes. The rosés therefore ripen later, and give structured wines with body. With a surface area of 118 hectares, the vineyard sits on limestone bedrock and is mainly south-facing and protected by 500 hectares of forest. Along with a variety of soils and variety in the climate, comes a wide range of grapes, around ten of which are used regularly in wine-making: Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault, Sémillon, Ugni-blanc, Viognier, Cabernet, Carignan, Rolle, Mourvèdre.
