Vinification: Traditional Beaujolais vinification - Semi-carbonic maceration for 13 days.Aged for 10 months in concrete vats, and then for one year in the bottle prior to sale.Barrels are not used with a view to unveiling the unique character of the aromas of black fruit and spiced notes typical of the shale and diorite terroir of Mont Brouilly. Tasting: A deep garnet-red colour, with beautiful legs, recalling the quality of the 2011 vintage. A wine with slightly spiced, peppery aromas, characteristic of the stone from Mont BrouillyA beautiful freshness on the palate, but with firm tannins that require a few years in the bottle to soften. If possible, should be stored for 4 to 5 years prior to drinking.A very good wine for laying down - can wait 10 to 12 years without any concern.A wine that pairs perfectly with smoked ham, game and cheese.
