AOC Costières de Nîmes

Languedoc-Roussillon

A grape variety worthy of the hottest parts of Spain.Very rich maturity that creates generous legs on the side of the glass. The nose develops original aromas scented with hyacinth and very ripe black berries. The pleasure is derived from an incredible natural balance, in the mouth. Can be eaten with spicy dishes, game, and strongly flavoured red meats.Briefly, this is a supple, silky wine with lovely, well-blended tannins. A wine for sharing that keeps the conversation going! Can be laid down for 5 years.

CLOS DES AMERICAINS

30600 Vauvert - Languedoc-Roussillon

Mid-way between Nîmes and Montpellier, between the sea and the mountains, the estate and its 20 ha of vines overlook La Petite Camargue. Bruno François and Pierre Villebrun, both passionate about wine-making, have run the vineyard together since 2008. They practise sustainable and integrated vine growing methods and personally take care of the wine-making and ageing of the wines. The estate, located in the Rhône Valley, is classified as AOC Costières de Nîmes. The estate extends over 20 hectares with diverse varieties: Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Carignan, Mourvèdre, Vermentino, Roussane, Marssane, Viognier and Tempranillo. The vineyard benefits from ideal climatic and geographical conditions: exceptional terroir, soil with rolled pebbles, the mistral wind, many hours of sun and also constant humidity generated by the Carmargue marshlands, enabling the production of characterful wines.
