From a unique terroir of colourful marls and gypsum, the grapes from our old Mourvèdre, Syrah and Grenache wines are harvested and sorted by hand. Fermentation takes place in conical wooden vats with gentle extraction by pumping over. Ageing takes place in casks, over a period of 24 months. A deep colour, a nose that is both rich and intense, but can come across as delicate on account of the finesse and precision of its aromas (blackcurrant, blackberry, coffee, cardamom). This No. 1 is a veritable concentrate of flavours on the palate, bold and full-bodied with accents of truffle, Morello cherry and mocha. Its balance between substance and freshness gives it great elegance.

Domaine de la Cendrillon is a family estate passed down the generations for more than 250 years. Robert Joyeux — the current owner — represents the 7th generation. Located in the Corbières in southern France, very close to Carcassonne and Narbonne, the estate has 50 ha of vines, including 15 ha of young vines (2-15 years old). Convinced that all great wines come from a healthy, vibrant environment, the estate converted to organic production and obtained ECOCERT certification in 2013. This approach imposes extreme care for the vines to obtain healthy grapes with delicious juice. The planting of "exotic" varieties (Albarinho, Verdejo) and the enlargement of the winery has resulted in vinifications where each plot can express its originality. Thanks to the diversity of these terroirs and varieties (Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Carignan, Cinsault and also Merlot, Marselan and Petit Manseng), the Cellar Master has at his disposal very rich colours and exceptional aromas, which ensure the production of fresh, balanced, fine and elegant wines.
