2009 - 75 cl

AOC Bergerac

South West France

The vines are aged for an average of 25 years, with a density of around 5,000 stems per hectare. Stripping was performed after fruit setting on the northern side. We use close pruning methods. Vinification : This wine is made from Merlot, cordon-pruned Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. The grapes are harvested into grape buckets when mature. Fermentation is performed under regulated temperature. After running off, the marc passes into vertical wine presses and the wine is aged in barrels. Tasting : A beautiful intense garnet colour, deep and brilliant. A powerful nose evoking black fruits, mint and liquorice, accompanied by fine notes of oak. The palate is dominated by woody tannins. The finish is bursting with freshness. A balanced wine that cellars well.

CHATEAU HAUT BERNASSE

24240 Monbazillac - South West France

Located on the high point of the Monbazillac slopes, in the heart of the appellation, Château Haut Bernasse benefits from exceptional sun exposure. Its 14 hectares of vines are worked using traditional methods and yields are low in the interests of quality. The 11 hectares of white varieties are: Sauternais and the “white triad”: Semillon, Muscadelle and Sauvignon. The red varieties, over 3 hectares, are made up of one half Merlot and the other half Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.
