This wine is distinguished by the quality of its balance and power. It is constructed around the appellation's key grape variety, the Mourvèdre that gives it the strength, fullness and above all the typicity of Bandol. The blend of Grenache and Carignan make it a wine of rare complexity. Characterised by a deep intense colour, its aromatic palette is varied and expresses by turn ripe red or jammy fruit, liquorice, earthiness and spice. It is full, long and persistent in the mouth supported by a great structure. The finish is long and tasty on fine silky tannins. It is as elegant as it is virile in its youth. Then, with the years, comes a new nobility created by the balance and roundness. It expresses its aromas and complexity fully at 18°. It accompanies grilled meats, game, meat dishes in sauce, cheeses, and sometimes fish.
