Clean nose with grilled spices accompanied by notes of very ripe red fruits. It is unctuous in the mouth with great presence and length. The silky harmonious tannins caress the mouth like velvet. Description of the Terroir : Produced from vines that are over 50 years old. The famous Clos des Aubépines in the hamlet of Langenberg, which is on a steep slope, cut into historic terraces with an excellent, south-facing exposure. The brown soil with granitic substratum (mica, quartz and feldspars) offers long-lasting finesse and delicacy to its wines.Harvest and vinification: Yield of 3,500 litres per hectare. Harvested by hand with strict sorting for quality. Total destemming. Partial maceration controlled at 60° C in circular, horizontal vats (vinimatic). Gentle, gradual pressing. Must devatted by gravity. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation at controlled temperatures between 18 and 20° C. aged on fine lees. Traditional cork stopper.
