Domaine Humbrecht 1619

68420 Gueberschwihr - Alsace

Located 12km south-west of Colmar, in the picturesque village of Gueberschwihr, the Humbrecht family has been handing the estate down the generations since 1619. After Marthe and Georges, Sylvia and Claude took over the estate, which today is made up of 8 ha, spread over different terroirs, from which their wines get their richness. Located on the Gueberschwihr, Eguisheim, Pfaffenheim and Rouffach slopes, each terroir imparts its specific characteristics to the grape. In 2013, after 3 years of conversion, the estate wines are now certified organic. In fact, Sylvie and Claude have moved generally toward processes that are more respectful of the environment, with the use of natural raw materials only. Their objective: to create exceptional vintages, while encouraging the longevity of animal and plant specifies and the natural ecosystem.
