The vineyard is located in Bergheim, a fortified village in Alsace. Bergheim vines have two 'Grands Crus', including the Altenberg de Bergheim, which allows the blending of different varieties. Vincent and Jean-Luc took over the estate from their father François, and are always working to improve the quality of their wines. "Since 1993, we have not used fertilisers on the vines and we no longer chaptalise any of our wines (no added sugars). We do not weed any of our plots and all our fruit is harvested and sorted by hand. In addition, our vineyard is organic (AB) and monitored by Ecocert."
