MAS CORIS

2012 - 75 cl

Languedoc-Roussillon

Blend : 35% Cinsault 35% Grenache 30% Syrah Intense colour with purple hues. The nose reveals itself progressively over the course of the tasting, initially with notes of liquorice, pepper and toast, followed by notes of clove, smoke, thyme and gooseberry. An as such you can let yourself be taken over by this wine, with a palate that is firm, a touch serious but infinitely classy. A great wine, to be served with all the respect it is due, with a pre-salted leg of lamb.

MAS CORIS

34170 Castelnau-le-Lez - Languedoc-Roussillon

Mas Coris is an equal distribution of space: 4 hectares of scrubland and woods and almost 4 hectares of vines. It is also a preserved environment (Natura 2000 classification) with wonderful diversity, in the Pic de Vissou valley, in Cabrières, Languedoc. In this exceptional setting, eight varieties are expressed: Syrah, Grenache and Cinsault for the reds and rosés; Vermentino, Viognier, Grenache Blanc, Roussanne and Clairette for the whites. This vineyard is cultivated using organic production, with the desire to encourage, in the vineyard and the winery, authenticity and quality. Particularities of the terroir These plots are located at 200 metres altitude, the guarantee of a good thermal range between day and night, ensuring a better preservation of the aromatic qualities of the grapes, especially during the ripening process. The soil, made up mostly of sandstone schist (or carbonate schist), is very representation of the AOP Cabrières appellation.
