Clos Aguilem
Languedoc-Roussillon WineOften rewarded by the Guide Hachette des Vins, the Clos Aguilem is an estate covering a total surface area of 9 hectares located near the Larzac at 35km from Montpellier, in the West, near the Mediterranean Sea. It has been created in 2015 by Jean-Charles Auffret, oenologist and agronomist, after a career in the Champagne region, at Veuve Ponsardin. The vineyard is made of old parcels of Carignan, Cinsault, Grenache noir, Grenache blanc and Chenin and younger parcels of Mourvèdre, Syrah and Vermentino. The culture of the vines is lead in order to have limited returns and to intervene the least possible. The estate has been converting to organic practices since 2016 and its cuvees will have the AB label starting from Millesime 2019. The vinification aims at respecting the grape and revealing its fruity flavor to produce great wines.

mas aguilem
A cuvée with a golden color and green highlights, the nose is complex and fine, with aromas of menthol, aniseed, butter and vanilla. The palate is delicate and round, with notes of honey and lime blossom and a long finish.

A dense ruby color with purple highlights.The nose is expressive, rich in aromas of fresh, ripe fruit (cherry, morello cherry) with a hint of spice. hint of spice. On the palate, the wine is fleshy and fruity, with silky tannins.

1959 - pur carignan
A purplish color with a complex, fruity nose. The nose is fruity and the palate expresses notes of pepper, black berries, cardamom and cocoa. The tannins are fine and mellow. Good length, sustained by the tension characteristic of the grape variety.

Light red color. Intense nose with notes of coconut, grenadine and graphite. Unctuous palate with very smooth tannins. Ample but fresh. Notes of fresh fruit, vanilla and brioche. Very greedy wine. Long persistence.
