Château Mélin is a wine-growing estate, located in Libourne in the Gironde. This is a family estate, which produces a Saint-Emilion AOC and a Saint-Emilion Grand Cru. This 10-hectare estate, near to the Dordogne, benefits from a micro-climate that is favourable to growing grapes. The outcrops on the property date from the quaternary era. There are brown sandy and gravelly soils present. This healthy soil is comparable to the Pomerol and western Saint-Emilion terroirs. The wine-making and ageing processes combine traditional methods (submerged cap fermentation, oak barrel ageing, etc.). Bottling is carried out at the Château. Château Mélin's annual production is approximately 20,000 bottles. The Cuvée Prestige represents 10 barrels, which is 3,000 bottles.
