CHATEAU DURETTE
Beaujolais WineVery soon after acquiring the property in March 2007, Jean Joly decided to create the SCEA (civil agricultural company) "Château de Durette" with the idea of producing his own wine... A completely new vat room, better located with regard to the road, was built and completely equipped with modern equipment (stainless steel vats). Today we work a 30 ha area, spread over the different appellations. Château de Durette offers seven Beaujolais + Beaujolais Blanc, Beaujolais Villages Rosé, Méthode Traditionnelle Crus. Each of these wines has its characteristics, even though they are all from the same Beaujolais family: fragrant, flavoursome, structured, full-bodied.

Its colour is a light, clear yellow.Its nose is very fruity with notes of vanilla and acacia.It will go perfectly with puff pastry, white meat or even goat's cheese.This wine is appreciated for its aromatic intensity and the fact that it has the potential to be cellared for several years.

One of the most typical, structured and full-bodied crus. Its ruby-red colour is evolved yet sustained, with notes of cherry and liquorice. The wine remains structured, silky, tender andmost of all, long in the finish. It pairs mainly with meats in sauce.

Aged in oak barrels, soft aromas of noble wood mingle with natural aromas of intense red fruit. It all develops a pleasant, fruity and intense finish. Vines perched on the slopes of the former volcano of Mont Brouilly, on complex soil of blue andesite rocks. This Côte de Brouilly has a purple colour, aromas of fresh grapes and a delicate, nervous flavours. This wine demonstrates a certain depth despite also being full of freshness and fruit.Silky tannins become even more elegant with age.
