The Château de Berne estate is located in the Haut Var, with a continental climate characterised by cool nights. These ensure a long, optimal ripening of the grapes. The rosés therefore ripen later, and give structured wines with body. With a surface area of 118 hectares, the vineyard sits on limestone bedrock and is mainly south-facing and protected by 500 hectares of forest. Along with a variety of soils and variety in the climate, comes a wide range of grapes, around ten of which are used regularly in wine-making: Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault, Sémillon, Ugni-blanc, Viognier, Cabernet, Carignan, Rolle, Mourvèdre.
