The CHÂTEAU CHAMPION estate, located in the heart of St-Emilion vines, covers an area of 6.8 hectares on calcareous clay soil.
The Bourrigaud family has been the owner of this vineyard since the 18th century.
Pascal Bourrigaud took over from his father Jean in 1994 and represents the 8th generation. Alongside his wife Véronique, he currently manages different estates, including Château Haute Terrasse in the Castillons – Côtes de Bordeaux appellation (a neighbouring appellation to Saint-Emilion) acquired in 1999.
Château Champion is planted with 75% Merlot, 13% Cabernet Franc and 12% Cabernet-Sauvignon.
Château Haute Terrasse is located in the town of Saint Magne de Castillon, not far from the place in which the Castillon battle took place in 1453, which was the last battle between the French and English in the Hundred-Year War.
Château Haute Terrasse covers 4 hectares that are well-located on clay-limestone slopes, with a vine population of 58% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon.
