WHAT WINE TO DRINK WITH BLACK TRUFFLE?

The black truffle, otherwise known as melanosporum, harvest season ranges from November to February in Périgord, Vaucluse, Var and also in Burgundy.

This famous mushroom is starting to emerge on our plates to our greatest delight. Served with scrambled eggs, a risotto, on foie gras, white or red meat or even with scallops, the truffle goes together perfectly with lots of different foods. So, what wine will enhance it?

We recommend an elegant and rather woody developed dry red wine such as a Bordeaux Pomerol or a Burgundy Mercurey, whose tannis and undergrowth aromas are in perfect harmony with and highlight the truffle.
